Last night I went thru some old business cards and sorted out many Motorola business cards. Some of them have been kept for about 10 years in my business card box.... last night I decided not to keep them anymore. I believe many of the young engineers have been promoted to be senior engineers or even managers and managers promoted to be senior managers or even directors.

In my early years of working, I learned much from the Motorola Supplier Programme, I think they have done pretty well in sharing knowledge with their suppliers. Well done Motoroala! :-)

Today, I just sold off my Nissan Sunny which I had been using for almost 2 years. It is actually still in very good condition. Although it is 1992 car, the mileage is only 58k KM. Accident free, the metallic paint is still shinning. Actually it was my dad's car. When I took it down from Kelantan, it was without power steering and cd player, I added both..... It is also a very fuel efficient car...... Few month back, I just chaged the maintenance free battery, changed the air con compressor and tyres :-p For all these, I sold it for RM6k only :-p

Bye bye Sunny, i forgot to take a picture together with you..... :-(

Yesterday we tested but the 2nd line was very very light in colour.... a bit disappointed. Today, we bought another one :-p At first also only 1 line came out but later, gradually the 2nd line appeared, darker and darker....but still the colour intensity was not same as the first line. Tomorrow, we will get doctor to confirm ;-)

Thank God in advance for the early blessing of 2007 :-)

They are really cute. Do you know that their name means "no drink" :-)

It is commonly said that the common name 'Koala' is an Aboriginal word meaning "no drink." The Koala actually does drink water, but only rarely, due to its diet consisting of eucalyptus leaves, which contain sufficient water to obviate the need for the Koala to climb down for a drink. -http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koala

Good turnout at Matta fair

Thousands of people thronged the Penang International Sports Arena (PISA) here yesterday for the Penang Matta Fair 2006.

The early birds started streaming into PISA as soon as the doors opened at 10am to seek attractive travel packages at bargain prices.

Among them were engineer couple Sia Ket Chiew, 30, and Chong Yip Wee, 26, who brought along their one-year-old son Jiet Zhu.

“Two years ago, we bought our honeymoon package at the Penang Matta Fair and now we are looking for a good deal for our second honeymoon,” said Chong.

“We are thinking of either Jiu Zhai Gou in China or Seoul and Cheju Island in Korea. We have heard about the beautiful scenery at the Jiu Zhai Gou forest reserve, and Korea is quite popular right now,” she added.

About50,000 people are expected to visit the three-day fair which ends today. It is open from 10am to 9pm.

One of the first-time exhibitors at this year’s fair is Tourism Australia. Its Industry Servicing manager (Malaysia) Elaine Leong said they were regulars at the Matta fair in Kuala Lumpur but wanted to seek more input about the Penang consumer market.

Visitors who buy packages also stand chances of winning prizes offered by some exhi-bitors during lucky draws held at intervals during the day.

Among the prizes include US$200 (RM740) crystal blocks featuring the image of actor Bae Yong Joon, the star of the Winter Sonata television series. Two of these decorative pieces were put up by Korean Air for those who purchase its packages.

Fair organising chairman Ann Tan said the grand draw for those with admission tickets, which would be held at 8pm today, features hotel stay and air tickets as prizes.

She said there were a total of 280 booths offering travel packages, hotel accommodation, air tickets, and items such as cameras, travel bags and winter clothing.

Admission to the fair is RM2 per adult, inclusive of a goody bag while stocks last. Entrance for children under 12 is free. The entertainment programme includes dances and Korean cultural shows.

Consumers in Penang Island are the happiest.... SunshineSquare, Giant, Costmart, Makro, Tesco, Carrefour and the coming Jaya Jusco at Queensbay Mall, within not more than 10 KM from one to another except Carrefour which is across the bridge :-)
