Penang Ferry Service - The only ferry service for car in M'sia?

3 days ago, the Penang Bridge had a massive jam at about 830am. Since my destination was Butterworth, i decided to cross the sea via Penang Ferry service since i missed the cooling sea breeze on board.

I have not been using it for long, probably 3 years. Everything still looks the same except the toilet is cleaner now and there is a smoking room. Like it used to be, 10++ years ago when I first taking this ferry, still we have begger (healthy but lazy people) asking for money, moving from people to people, I don't like this, it is very irritating.

The names of all the ferries are still the same:-

Pulau Undan

Pulau Talang-talang
Pulau Angsa

Pulau Rawa
Pulau Rimau

Pulau Kapas
Pulau Pinang

Pulau Payar

There are all 8 ferries, for first timer, please make sure you take the right ferry to Penang :-p But if you wanted too long and yet Pulau Pinang ferry is yet to come, it is ok, you can take Pulau Talang-talang, Pulau Payar, etc :-D Wondering why? Check out the comments, i hope someone familiar will tell you wny :-)

	Jin @ Sat 19-11-05 02:57PM Wait, they have ferry by the name of Pulau Pinang meh? I used to hear a joke on a mat salleh waiting for a ferry to cross the sea from Butterworth to Pulau Pinang. He wait and wait for whole day, yet at the end of the day he still didn't go on board. He then go to counter and asked "Excuse me sir, i am waiting for a ferry (by the name of Pulau Pinang) to get me to Penang, but there isn't any, and i've waited whole day" which the man at counter replied "Haiyah, all the ferry here go Penang one, you dun know meh"

	ddcat @ Thu 17-11-05 09:20AM During the time before we have the bridge, when i took ferry to ah kong's place me and my brother likes to checkout all the ferry and their name, and compare which one runs faster. yeah, we discover that some runs faster and some are crawling like turtle. I can't remember the conclusions already but i think we found Pulau Angsa is the fastest. Hehehe... I'm thinking to take Darius for a ferry ride now.
